Hardware-based technology comprises equipment and machinery and software-based technology is an outcome of human intellect. The latter is protected by intellectual property rights. Protection of patents and inventions within the intellectual property framework plays a significant role in trade development of countries; because new ideas that their properties have been protected can create or strengthen competitive advantages. In this paper, we investigated 0the effect of protection of intellectual property rights on the export of Group 15 member countries during 1995-2007. The index of patent applications is used as an indicator of the level of protection of intellectual property rights. The effect of protection of property rights to export has been surveyed directly and through other variables such as GDP, foreign direct investments and Research and development expenditures. The results indicate that extensive protection of intellectual property rights in the domain of common needs for Group 15 members will provide suitable conditions for increased investment in R&D activities, foreign direct investment, competitiveness power and increasing the exports, especially high-tech exports, if the conditions for application of this patent is provided, then the protection of property rights will be effective on the export, directly of through other variables. تفاوت سطح دانش و فناوري يکي از عوامل مؤثر بر شکاف توسعه‌يافتگي در بين کشورها است. فناوري در بخش سخت‌افزاري، تجهيزات و ماشين‌آلات را در بر مي‌گيرد و بخش نرم‌افزاري آن ناشي از تراوشات فکري انسان است که حمايت از اين بخش را حقوق مالکيت فکري بر عهده دارد. حمايت از ابداعات و اختراعات در چارچوب مالکيت فکري نقش تعيين کننده‌اي در توسعه‌ تجاري کشورها بر عهده دارد، زيرا ايده‌هاي جديدي که مالکيت آنها حفظ شده باشد، مزيت‌هاي رقابتي را ايجاد و يا تقويت مي‌نمايند. در اين مقاله به بررسي اثر حمايت از حقوق مالکيت فکري بر صادرات کشورهاي عضو گروه 15 در دوره‌ زماني 2007-1995 مي‌پردازيم. براي اين منظور از شاخص برنامه‌هاي ثبت اختراع به عنوان معرف حمايت از حقوق مالکيت فکري استفاده شده است. تأثير حمايت از حقوق مالکيت بر صادرات هم به صورت مستقيم و هم از کانال ساير متغيرها از جمله توليد ناخالص داخلي، سرمايه‌گذاري مستقيم خارجي و مخارج تحقيق و توسعه بررسي شده است. نتايج مطالعه نشان مي‌دهد حمايت گسترده‌تر از حقوق مالکيت فکري در حوزه‌هاي نيازمندي‌هاي متقابل اعضاي گروه 15، زمينه‌ مناسبي براي افزايش سرمايه‌گذاري در فعاليت‌هاي تحقيق و توسعه و جذب سرمايه‌گذاري مستقيم خارجي، افزايش قدرت رقابت‌پذيري و در نتيجه افزايش صادرات به ويژه صادرات با فناوري بالا را فراهم خواهد نمود ولي حمايت بيشتر از حقوق مالکيت در صورتي مستقيماً و يا از کانال ساير متغيرها بر صادرات اثرگذار خواهد بود که شرايط مناسبي براي کاربردي شدن ثبت اختراع‌ها فراهم شود. http://roshdefanavari.ir/ar/Article/Download/20072
