Abstract :
With the intensification of global competition, businesses are required to pay attention to two issues of new technologies such as the Internet of Things and cooperation with their supply chain partners. In order to apply the Internet of Things in the supply chain, there are several challenges that need to be addressed. This issue has not been investigated in previous researches, so the purpose of the current research is to identify challenges, model and analyze their scenarios. This research was conducted in two phases. The qualitative phase was conducted to identify the challenges. In this phase, the statistical population is Iranian business supply chain experts, judgmental and snowball sampling methods used, and the sample size were determined based on theoretical saturation. Data were identified through semi-structured interviews and analyzed with thematic analysis. In the second phase of the research, the statistical population and the sampling method are the same as the previous phase. The sample size in the second stage is equal to 12 persons, the data collection tool is a researcher-made questionnaire, and the method of their analysis is fuzzy cognitive mapping. The results of the first phase of the research show 97 primary codes, 24 sub-categories and 11 main categories. In the second phase of the research, it was found that the challenges of "public education" and "governance" are independent. The results of modeling and analysis of forward and backward scenarios show the special importance of the challenges of "supply chain management", "financial management", "public education" and "governance".
